North Allegheny, South Park Pairs Claim Gold at 2026 WPIAL Boys’ Tennis Doubles Championships

South Park repeats in Class 2A, North Allegheny wins first doubles title in a decade in Class 3A

Pittsburgh, Pa. – The Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League (WPIAL) hosted its 2026 boys’ tennis doubles championships on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 21-22. The first round through semifinal matches took place on Tuesday at Bethel Park High School and North Allegheny High School , while the final and consolation matches were held at North Allegheny on Wednesday.

South Park seniors Jonah Jasek and Steven Duing successfully defended their title, taking home the Class 2A doubles gold for the second consecutive year. This victory marks South Park's third doubles title in six seasons.

In Class 3A, the North Allegheny duo of Ashwin Sudhakar and Matt Kampi claimed the championship on their home courts.

The top two finishers in Class 3A and the top three finishers in Class 2A have qualified for the PIAA Boys’ Tennis Doubles Championships.
 
CLASS 3A RECAP
North Allegheny junior Ashwin Sudhakar and senior Matt Kampi captured the Class 3A title with a 6-4, 6-1 victory over Mt. Lebanon’s Luca Ritivoi (11) and Noah Klaber (12). Entering as the top seed, Sudhakar and Kampi reached the final with wins over:
  • Greater Latrobe’s Grant Gardiner (9) and Eli McKeever (11), 10-1.
  • South Fayette’s Harshal Pallerla (11) and Ani Garimella (10), 10-3.
  • Fox Chapel’s Frank Siegel (10) and Grant Fenton (11), 6-4, 6-1.
The second-seeded Ritivoi and Klaber reached the final by defeating Pine-Richland’s Ryan Moore (12) and Arav Amin (10) (10-2), North Allegheny’s Shivum Telang (11) and Ronit Ginde (11) (10-1), and Upper St. Clair’s Carter Lichtman (10) and Myles Owens (11) (7-5, 7-5).
In the third-place consolation match, Gateway's Logan Memije (12) and Troy Boden (12) secured the 3rd place spot through an injury default.
 
CLASS 2A RECAP
South Park seniors Jonah Jasek and Steven Duing repeated as Class 2A champions with a 6-2, 6-4 win in the final over Winchester Thurston sophomores Ravi Stanger and Soham Maiti. The top-seeded South Park duo marched to the final with victories against:
  • Indiana’s Michael Dubetsky (12) and Evan Riffer (12), 10-5.
  • Greensburg Salem’s Silas Morris (12) and Tommy Shrum (11), 10-1.
  • Central Valley’s Cody Clayton (12) and Hunter Hazelwood (12), 6-2, 6-3.
Stanger and Maiti, the second seed, reached the championship by topping Keystone Oaks’ Randen Eury (12) and Beckett Wargo (12) (10-3), Montour’s Jonah Camardese (12) and Trey Varga (11) (10-3) , and Beaver’s Sean Perez (11) and Aiden Desanzo (11) (10-3).

In the third-place consolation match, Cody Clayton and Hunter Hazelwood of Central Valley fought back to win 2-6, 6-2, 6-2 against Perez and Desanzo to claim the final PIAA qualifier slot.
