The John Wooden of WPIAL basketball coaches. McCluskey coached Farrell from 1949-77 and won 11 WPIAL championships, the most in league history. He also won seven PIAA titles, more than any coach in Pennsylvania boys' history. McCluskey sent numerous players to Division I colleges and a few to the NBA. His record from 1949-77 was 698-185.
