Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League

The 1996 team was the section, WPIAL, and PIAA champion and finished the season with a perfect 26-0 record. They outscored their opponents 169-7 and recorded shutouts in 21 games. The team was voted the #1 team in the nation by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America and the head coach, Gene Klein, was honored as the NSCAA National Coach of the Year. The team produced two National All-Americans, Chris Churchill and Brad Christof, as selected by the NSCAA. The nine seniors on the team won PIAA titles three out of four years with a record of 14-1 in PIAA tournament competition.
