Harmotto has plenty of accomplishments during her career as an indoor volleyball player in the middle-blocker position. At Hopewell High School she led her team to three consecutive WPIAL titles while cumulating a record of 59-0 against WPIAL opponents. In 2005, her team garnered the PIAA 2A State Championship and she was named the Female Athlete of the Year by the Post Gazette, Tribune Review, and Beaver County Times, and was selected as the Pennsylvania Gatorade Player of the Year. A three-time All American at Penn State, her team was the NCAA women’s volleyball champion in 2007 and 2008. Last summer, Harmotto was a stellar performer on the US Olympics Women’s Volleyball team that won a silver medal in London.
